Meet MITIGATE at Posidonia 2016! A workshop about “Port Supply Chain Security” will be held on June 7, 2016 from 3 PM to 5 PM in the Metropolitan Expo Center in Athens. Download the agenda here: SINGULARLOGIC_ Posidonia_Agenda.
MITIGATE will be part of the “2016 International Cyber Summit Maritime Cyber Port Security” conference in Greece. This year’s summit audience consists of national authorities, civilian partners, and government bodies that are involved in the maritime sector and especially in its cyber security aspects. This includes policymakers and other relevant stakeholders (e.g. Port Authorities) participating in the development and implementation of security guidelines and good practices for the maritime sector, as well as key players in the implementation of initiatives covering cyber security aspects.
On June 6th, the MEDUSA International Conference will take place in Valencia. The main issue will be “Cyber-Security in the Supply Chain: New Approaches and Challanges”. Despite the proliferation and advancement of risk assessment methodologies for Critical Information Infrastructures (CIIs) most risk assessment frameworks do not adequately addressthe various cascading effects that are associated with security incidents occurring from interacting entities. This gap is very critical in the case of ports’ security, given that ports are CIIs characterized by significant interdependencies at multiple levels (infrastructural, national, intra-sectoral). This conference addresses innovative approaches to port security from different points of view, involving security service providers, state security managers, port operators and critical infrastructures.
SingularLogic will participate in The International Shipping Exhibition Posidonia 2016 organizing the workshop session “Ports Supply Chain Security: The MEDUSA and MITIGATE approach”. The workshop will be held on Tuesday, 7 June 2016, 15:00-17:00. Please find the agenda of the workshop here. Looking forward to meeting you at Posidonia 2016!

In this five-day intensive course participants develop the competence to master a model for implementing an incident management process throughout their organisation using the ISO/IEC 27035 standard as a reference framework. Based on practical exercises, participants acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to manage information security incidents in time by being familiar with their life cycle.
During this training, the ISO/IEC 27035 information security incident management standard will be presented, a process model for designing and developing an organisational incident management process, and how companies may use the standard.
The MITIGATE-project will be presented at this year´s IAME. The IAME Annual Conference brings together academics from every corner of the Planet every year to a different location. It´s an opportunity for the world scientific community to meet and discuss current research topics and to contribute to the development of maritime economics and management as an independent discipline. The conference, for the first time in Germany, will take place in Hamburg from 23th to 26th of August.
