MITIGATE invites Pilot Users!

Get involved and use the possibility to apply the newly designed holistic cyber risk assessment system MITIGATE. Become a first mover!

In the course of the next months the MITIGATE System is presented to maritime stakeholders like port authorities, port service providers and logistics service providers. The project consortium is thus looking for interested stakeholders to conduct the following tasks:

• Enjoy a short introduction into the MITIGATE system
• Insert an exemplary supply chain by choosing given digital assets, hard- and software
• Add new digital assets to the repository provided
• Build an exemplary digital supply chain
• Manage the threats of your assets
• Let the system run the risk assessment and see the results
• Review the attack paths
• Provide your impressions and advice through an online questionnaire

These pilot operations will take place in Bremen, Hamburg, Livorno, Piraeus, Ravenna and Valencia with an estimated duration of three hours. Register today for a nonbinding and free-of-charge training on cyber security and send an e-mail to info@mitigateproject.eu.

12-14 July 2017: MITIGATE at the ICServ2017

The MITIGATE project will be present at the 5th International Conference on Serviceology (ICServ2017), which takes place from 12 to 14 July at the University of Vienna, Austria. The conference is initiated by the Society of Serviceology in Japan aiming to bring together researchers, academic and industry leaders, active and interested in the latest service technologies and methodologies.

29 August – 1 September 2017: ARES Conference

From 29 August to 1 September 2017 the MITIGATE project will participate in the International Workshop on Supply Chain Security, Resilience and Accountability, held at the International Conference on Availability, Reliability and Security (ARES Conference) in Reggio Calabria, Italy. The workshop covers all aspects of security, resilience and accountability of national and global Supply Chains and interconnected Smart Critical Infrastructures.

8 December: MITIGATE at the “Poseidon Med ΙΙ calls at Piraeus” Conference

Prof. Christos Douligeris from the University of Piraeus and Yiannis Papagiannopoulos are going to present the MITIGATE project at the “Poseidon Med II calls at Piraeus” conference, which takes place on 8 December at Piraeus Municipal Theatre in Piraeus, Greece. Poseidon Med II partners from the shipping industry, marine governmental officials and industry experts discuss the projected developments towards the wide adoption of LNG as an alternative fuel for shipping.

Successful trade fair appearance by Fraunhofer CML at Intermodal Europe 2016

From 15 to 17 November 2016 Fraunhofer CML’s Ralf Fiedler, Katrin Brümmerstedt and Torsten Münsterberg promoted the MITIGATE project at Intermodal Europe 2016. Positive resonance among visitors was particularly evident during discussions at the CML booth.

Intermodal Europe is the world-leading exhibition and conference for companies associated with the container and intermodal industries. The event provides an invaluable industry forum, bringing together high-quality speakers, key industry professionals and global leading exhibitors.

9 November: Transport Security Research Workshop

On 9 November a Transport Security Research Workshop takes place in Brussels, Belgium. Nineta Polemi, the technical manager of the MITIGATE project will give a presentation on the topic of “Challenges in Maritime and Supply Chains’ Security”. Other topics at the workshop include aviation security research, public transport security research and new security technologies.

9 & 10 November: MITIGATE at the 14th Digital Ship Athens

On 9 & 10 November the 14th Digital Ship Athens conference and exhibition will take place in Athens, Greece. The event addresses the strategic and practical challenges that the shipping industry is facing at present and thus provides the ideal platform for discussing the importance of cyber-security. Nineta Polemi, the technical manager of MITIGATE, will give a presentation on the project.
